Clearfield County 4-H Horse Members Take Home Top Honors at 50th Annual PA State 4-H Horse Show

21 Clearfield County 4-H members recently participated in the 50th Annual Pennsylvania State 4-H Horse Show held at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg on Friday, October 23rd through Sunday, October 25th, 2009.   This year, we had a total of 8 first place winners!  Here are some snapshots of the first place award recipients!


Marissa Douthit & Leaguer’s Black TE and Francesca Varischetti & Shez Petitely Amazin took home first place in the Western Pleasure Pairs Class!

Francesca Varischetti & Shez Petitely Amazin received top honors in the Western Pleasure Horses - Senior Rider class!


Katelyn Matthews & Painted Little Love Scene took home the blue ribbon in Pinto Yearling Fillies class!


Shalise Gallaher & Daantje came out on top in the Warmblood Fillies of this Year class!


Brittany Shirley & Maplewoods My Little Flicka was a first place recipient this year in the Miniature Horse Fillies of this Year class!


Col Bobs Skipa Peanut shown by Katie McAndrew in the Palomino Yearling Fillies class earned top recognition!

Katie McAndrew is all smiles after her Palomino 3 Year Old Gelding, Docs Keystone Kid, was called out for first place!


Abby Lee and her Miniature Horse 3 Year Old Gelding, Romandaros Wave Over Wave, took home a blue ribbon!


Going out on top – In her final year as a 4-H member, Katie McAndrew of the Town & Country 4-H Horse and Pony Club, received a leather halter and tack trunk in a special ceremony held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 for being named the 2009 Pennsylvania Outstanding 4-H Horse Member!
